The radio shows, soon to be available on the Web, are also the core of a two-hour WKFK Digital TV-7 documentary that premieres Friday.
For three decades she and her husband, C.C. "Tex" Hamill, published Down South Magazine, a bi-monthly filled with stories of the people and places of the Coast.
Marguerite Hamill had, the previous year, donated 43,000 Down South photographs and negatives to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College archives.

You'd think after 10 years, comedians Jeff Foxworthy, Bill Engvall and Larry the Cable Guy would be tired of each other's jokes.
They started Blue Collar Comedy in 2000 with comedian Ron White, hitting the road for what was supposed to be a four-month tour.
The tour worked so well and there was such a demand to see it that four months turned into three and a half years, three movies, more touring and a TV show.

Taste in humor is like that: highly individual.
The crowd that turned out for Wednesday's performance of El Show Mas Funny , a bilingually spiced Second City show at Miami's Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts, laughed plenty.
Maybe that's because a good deal of the material has been tailored for South Florida, and when bits involve the words "Hialeah" or "Pembroke Pines," the locals are going to giggle.

U.S. actor Forest Whitaker said while "Repo Men" may feature gore and dark humor, he is happy he took a chance by appearing in the new film.
Whitaker, who plays a man tasked with recovering artificial organs from clients behind on their payments, said the new film from director Miguel Sapochnik is similar to cult films like "A Clockwork Orange" or works from the comedy group Monty Python , Parade Magazine said Friday.
